Illegal recruiter nabbed in Batangas

CAMP MALVAR, Batangas City – Police arrested an alleged illegal recruiter on Tuesday morning, July 18, in Barangay Timbugan, Rosario, this province. Batangas police director Police Col. Samson Belmonte identified the suspect as Rosalie Rivera, 49, a widow and resident of Barangay Timbugan. Belmonte said the suspect was arrested through a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, National Capital Region Branch 193, Marikina City dated September 15, 2008. Police said the suspect in 2003 represented herself of having the capacity to recruit, contract, enlist, and send workers for employment abroad in exchanged for a fee. But she allegedly failed to deploy and did not return the fees paid by the victims. The suspect is a most wanted person on the regional level by the Police Regional Office 4-A. Belmonte said that they are committed in putting lawbreakers  behind bars.
