Covid-related policies garner significant attention

Notably, voters in Metro Manila expressed increased concern about Covid-19, with 55 percent of them supporting the government’s requirement for facemasks and 62 percent supporting the requirement for two booster shots. Meanwhile, the proposed new curriculum, which gives students the option to complete two more years of pre-university education to better prepare them for college, and the importation of agricultural products to lower skyrocketing retail prices, received a 45 percent approval rating. Visayas had higher approval rates in both cases, at 53 and 54 percent, respectively. The Pahayag 2023 Second Quarter Survey is an independent and non-commissioned survey. Publicus Asia said its 1,500 respondents were chosen at random from a market research panel of more than 200,000 Filipinos maintained by PureSpectrum, a US-based panel marketplace with a multinational presence of respondents. The respondents were distributed across five geographical areas, namely the National Capital Region, North Central Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Only registered Filipino voters were included in the sample to ensure that the results represent accurately the sentiments of the voting population.
