TV personality Amy Perez has revealed that there was a time when she was "ready to give up life" due to challenges.

Amy revealed on an episode of 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda' that she faced a multitude of challenges from the Lord that made her question Him.

Perez recounted a moment in her life when she encountered one hardship after another.

She mentioned that she wanted to quit work, quit life, and do nothing.

"It came to a point na I challenge the Lord. I went to the rooftop ng dati kong condo sabi ko, 'Lord, marami ka pang ibibigay na challenges sa buhay ko? Sige ibigay mo na sa akin lahat ngayon, ibato mo na lahat sa akin ngayon, and tatanggapin ko ito," Perez added.

It got to a point, she said, when she realized she had been forced to do a lot of things as a person.

Amy described her first marriage with her ex-husband, Brix Ferraris, a former member of the band South Border, as the most challenging and darkest phase she ever went through.

"Dumating ako sa time na isinurender ko na lahat kay Lord. I said, 'Ayoko na. Wala na," she said.

For Amy, the Lord has granted her wish of having a peaceful life with her current husband, Carlo Catillo, whom she married in 2014. They celebrated their 8th anniversary last November 2022.

‘Tyang Amy’ can also be watched on the popular noontime show, "It's Showtime," where she feels youthful every day.

"Nakakabata ang 'Showtime,' " she remarked.

"It's Showtime" can be seen on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, Jeepney TV, and GTV from Monday to Saturday. (Mondrein Mikolei Lizarte/OJT/University of Sto. Tomas)
