Vendor nabbed with P108,000 shabu in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental


BACOLOD CITY – A vendor was arrested in a buy-bust operation in San Juan Baybay, Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Saturday, July 15.

Sixteen grams of suspected shabu worth P108,000 were seized by the police from the suspect, Abdul Wahed Dirindigon, 25, of Barangay 6.

Police Lt. Col. Jesus Mesahon Jr., San Carlos police chief, said that Dirindigon was listed as a Top 10 drug personality by the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) here.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Western Visayas said the suspect was subjected to a buy-bust operation after he was reported through the “Isumbong mo sa PDEA” hotline.

Mesahon said the suspect was arrested for a drug offense but was later released.

He said the suspect is from Marawi City but has been residing in the province for several years.
