According to the Speedtest Global Index, the Philippines ranks 83rd in mobile and fixed broadband speeds. The median download speed for mobile connections in the country is recorded at 26.98 Mbps, while the upload speed is measured at 6.18 Mbps. The latency, which indicates the delay in data transmission, is 23 milliseconds.

It's important to note that the rankings and data are updated mid-month for the previous month. To be included in the rankings, locations must have at least 300 unique user results for either mobile or fixed broadband.

In terms of mobile providers, Speedtest Intelligence reveals that Smart delivered the fastest median download speed among the top mobile operators in the Philippines during the second quarter of 2023, with a speed of 35.39 Mbps. Globe and DITO followed with median download speeds of 22.68 Mbps and 19.69 Mbps, respectively.

Analyzing the performance of some of the fastest phones in the Philippines during Q2 2023, no statistical winner could be determined. Devices such as the iPhone 14 Pro Max, Galaxy S23 Ultra, and iPhone 14 Pro exhibited competitive speeds and latency. However, further analysis reveals that Apple devices had the fastest median download speed in the country during this period, recording 47.01 Mbps.

Looking at the manufacturer performance, Apple devices maintained their lead in terms of median download speed, with 47.01 Mbps.
