Man arrested after shooting eatery customer in Pasig City
A 24-year-old man was arrested by operatives of Pasig City Police on Sunday, July 16, after he shot a customer of an eatery in Barangay Bambang, Pasig City, the Eastern Police District (EPD) said.
The suspect was identified as Kim Ebuenga, a resident of Barangay Malinao, Pasig City.
According to the police report, the victim, identified as Rhenz Madriaga, was eating in the eatery when he was suddenly approached by Ebuenga and shot him in the chest.
Bystanders immediately reported the incident to the police conducting patrol in the area.
The lawmen found the wounded victim on the floor and rushed him to the Pasig City General Hospital for treatment.
The authorities reviewed the CCTV camera footage in the area, which showed the suspect fleeing from the crime scene towards Vicper Compound.
A manhunt operation was launched resulting in the arrest of the suspect at about 4:00 p.m. of the same day at Sitio Jade Ville, in Barangay Pinagbuhatan.
Police recovered from the suspect a .38-caliber revolver he used in shooting the victim.
