Members of Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Payatas Bagong Silangan Station (PS 13) arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly stealing a motorcycle in Barangay Payatas on Monday, July 17.
Police identified the suspect as Rodney Destiada, a resident of Barangay Payatas, Quezon City.
According to the police report, a witness saw Destiada take the motorcycle owned by Marvin Baradillo outside their house at Phase 3, Block 7 Lot 305, Barangay Payatas at around 3:30 a.m.
The witness said she tried to stop the suspect but Destiada managed to escape on board the said motorcycle.

The witness and Baradillo reported the incident to police.
PS 13 operatives immediately conducted a follow-up operation and arrested the suspect in front of a vacant lot at Phase 3, Block 7, Barangay Payatas.
Confiscated from the suspect were a metal chain, a destroyed padlock, and the motorcycle.
The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 10883 or the Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, police said.
