CEU beats PUP, bags NCRAA women's title

Centro Escolar University defeated Polytechnic University of the Philippines in the finals, 85-73, to crown itself as the women's champion in the 29th season of the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) basketball tournament at the PUP Gymnasium last May 26. *Centro Escolar University Lady Scorpions. Kathlene Sumarago spearheaded the offense for the Lady Scorpions by scoring 16 points while J-anne Britania and Jerrell Mean Banih added 13 and 12, respectively.

The Mendiola-based squad also ruled the 53rd WNCAA in March for a record-extending 10th straight title.
