Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano led the distribution of emergency response equipment to the local police, Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) on Monday, July 17.
Rubiano said the distribution of response equipment to the concerned agencies, which are partners of the Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office (DRRMO) during calamities, was conducted in line with the celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month.
The mayor said the equipment are very important in saving lives during calamities and disasters.
Rubiano said among the response equipment distributed were spine board with straps, first aid bag, padded board splint, cervical collar, life vest, personal floating
device, search light, rubberized safety gloves, megaphone with rechargeable battery, ring bouy, safety helmet, and 10 meters manila rope.
