SPD chief Brig. Gen. John Brion Kraft, in coordination with the Taguig police, said the withdrawal of support and oath of allegiance to the government took place on July 16 at the Taguig police’s Substation 4 in Barangay Ususan. According to the SPD, the three unidentified persons were allegedly sectoral personalities involved in instigating anti-government sentiments and supporting Communist ideology. SPD added that they actively engaged in recruiting new members and participating in mass actions and protest rallies organized by Communist fronts. They will be given interventions by the SPD and other government agencies to influence other members of the organization to follow suit. "The withdrawal of support by these individuals sends a clear message that there is no room for extremism in our society. We will continue to work together with various stakeholders to create a safe and secure environment for all residents of Southern Metro Manila,” said Kraft.
