Sabrina M dismisses apology request over Rico Yan claim

Sabrina M did not issue a public apology on Sunday as urged by Claudine Barretto’s lawyer friend, Atty Ferdie Topacio, relating her supposedly having had a relationship with the late actor Rico Yan. Apparently, she is more than ready to stand her ground on the matter. On Saturday, Sabrina issued not an apology but a strongly worded statement. She said, “Wala pong public apology na magaganap. Kung anuman ang panakot na ikakaso nila, karapatan nila iyon at haharapin na lang namin ng mga abogado ko ang isasampa nila.” Both Claudine and Topacio are still silent on the matter. Prior, in an interview with Cristy Fermin, the lawyer shared his belief about Sabrina’s revelation relating her and Rico being “libelous.” He said, “Para gamitin mo yung pangalan, lalo na yung alaala ng isang pumanaw para magkaroon ng noise para sa iyong movie, e, nakakarimarim po yun. Karumal-dumal na gawain yun. Libelous yun. “Kasi parang pinalalabas niya na si Rico Yan ay two-timer, at si Claudine naman, kung alam daw ni Claudine yun, parang napakababa naman ng moralidad ni Claudine na pumapayag siya na dalawa sila sa buhay ni Rico Yan.” Addressing Sabrina, he then implored, “Please, mag-sorry ka na kay Claudine, mag-sorry ka sa pamilya ni Rico Yan, mag-sorry ka sa alaala ni Rico Yan, at tapusin na natin ito. Otherwise, much to our regret, ay kailangan po kaming kumilos sa paraang legal.”
