Gong Yoo, Seo Hyun-jin to star in Netflix's mystery series 'The Trunk'
Netflix announced the production of the Korean mystery series “The Trunk,” which will star Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun-jin.
“The Trunk” will focus on unforeseen events and secrets after a mystifying trunk is found in the depths of a lake.

Seo Hyun-jin, who previously starred in the dramas “The Beauty Inside,” “Another Miss Oh” and “Why Her,” will play the role of In-ji, an employee of an intriguing matchmaking organization, NM. Gong Yoo, star of the “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” “Train to Busan,” “Coffee Prince,” Netflix's “Squid Game” and “The Silent Sea,” will be Jeong-won, a solitary music producer who finds himself in an unexpected marriage contract with In-ji. He meets his “second wife” In-ji through a contract-based marriage service arranged by his ex-wife Seo-yeon. Their lives take a turn when a trunk is found in the lake that throws them into a whirlwind of secrets and events behind the matchmaking service. “The Trunk,” which will premiere exclusively on Netflix, is written by Park Eun-young of “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth” and directed by Kim Gyu-tae of “Our Blue.”
