ECHO, BennyQt win big in prestigious MOBIES 2023

ECHO and its star gold laner Benedict “BennyQt” Gonzales won big in the prestigious Mobile Games Awards – or the MOBIES – after bagging the Team of the Year and Player of the Year awards following their impressive run in the M4 World Championships.

BennyQt beat several big names in other Mobile esport games like  Harsh "Goblin" Paudwal and Burenbayar "TOP" Altangerel from Player’s Unknown Battleground, Mohamed "Mohamed Light" Tarek, and  Ratchanon "Moshi" Kunrayason, and Jeong "TENSAI" Seung-jin from Free Fire for the recognition.  “I am truly honored to be recognized as the best Mobile Player of the Year. My journey was not easy, but with all the support I received, it was all worthwhile. I have come a long way, but I still have many goals to achieve. I hope you can continue supporting me,” said BennyQt. “I dedicate this recognition to my family, friends, teammates, and all of my fans. Thank you so much,” said the champion gold laner who was also hailed as the M4 Worlds MVP, helping his ECHO to a 4-0 sweep of then defending champions Blacklist International. ECHO bested Estar Pro, EVOS Phoenix, Stalwart Esports, Tribe Gaming, and Zeta Division Zero for the award. Subsequently, the M4 Worlds of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang was also hailed as the Mobile Esports Tournament of the Year by the international award giving body. “We created many good memories while organizing this world championship series in Jakarta. It was a remarkable experience for everyone, and I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my staff and my amazing team, especially the marketing, production, and logistics teams who worked tirelessly to make this moment possible. They also helped us achieve another world-breaking PCU in terms of viewership,” said MLBB head of public relations Kelly Chiew who accepted the award on behalf of Moonton. “It’s truly amazing, and I want to thank our fans, players, and gamers because, at the end of the day, you are what truly matters. Thank you so much for your support,” she added. The Mobile Gaming Awards was created by the same team behind the yearly Esports Awards and has been citing exemplary esports athletes from different games since 2018.  The results came from the votes from the community which accounted for 25 percent of the total points while the other 75 percent came from a set of well-respected panels of judges.
