The Department of Health recorded 1,938 new Covid-19 cases from July 10 to 16, with an average daily case count of 277—23 percent lower compared to the previous week.
Twenty-five of these are in severe and critical condition, said the health department.
Meanwhile, 17 deaths occurred from July 3 to 16.
As of July 16, 234 (10.4 percent) of the 2,246 Covid-19 Intensive Care Units (ICUs) are occupied, while 2,806 (16.0 percent) of the 17,583 non-ICU beds are also in use.
Also, 78 million, or 100.44 percent, of the country's target population have already been vaccinated against Covid-19, and 23 million have already received their booster jabs.
Moreover, 7.1 million senior citizens, or 82.16 percent of the target A2 population, have already received their primary series of vaccines.
