Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) operatives seized over P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested a man and a woman in two separate drug stings in the cities of Caloocan and Quezon on Sunday, July 16.
The CCPS identified the first suspect as Nerna Awalil, 32, a health worker from Barangay Tandang Sora, Quezon City.
Police arrested Awalil in a buy-bust operation on Sta. Rita Street in Barangay 188, Caloocan City at around 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Awalil yielded 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P680,000, the buy-bust money, and a pink pouch.

Meanwhile, the QCPD District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) nabbed Almuktader Ahadulla, 29, also from Barangay Tandang Sora, after he also yielded 100 grams of alleged shabu valued at P680,000 in front of Teachers Village East Park in Brgy. Teachers Village East, Quezon City at around 10 p.m. on the same day.
Police operatives launched the buy-bust operation against Ahadulla after a concerned citizen reported to them the suspect’s illegal drug trade in the area.
A police officer successfully bought P10,500 worth of alleged shabu from the suspect, which led to his arrest.
Also seized from the suspect were a maroon sling bag, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.
Both suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), police said.
