38 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera reported the arrest of 38 wanted persons in a week-long manhunt operation in the region from July 9 to 15. The Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division said the Kalinga Police Provincial Office nabbed 18 wanted persons, followed by the Baguio City Police Office with 11, Benguet PPO with six, and the Apayao PPO, Ifugao PPO, and Mountain Province PPO with one. Fifty-four municipalities in the region and three police stations in Baguio recorded zero crime incidents during the week as a result of intensified police presence. Zero crime incidents were recorded in 24 out of 27 towns in Abra, five of seven in Apayao, three of 13 in Benguet, four of seven in Kalinga, eight of 11 in Ifugao, and 10 in Mountain Province. In Baguio, out of the 10 police stations, 6 (Aurora Hill), 9 (Irisan), and 10 (Marcos Highway) logged zero crime incidents.
