1 killed, 2 hurt in Zamboanga City pub house shooting

ZAMBOANGA CITY – One person was killed while two were wounded when three unidentified men fired indiscriminately inside a pub house here at dawn on Monday, July 17.
POLICE cordon off  a pub house following  shooting incident in Zamboanga City where an employee was killed anmd before dawn on Monday, July 17. (Jungjung Cabato) Police said that the suspects who were apparently intoxicated tried to enter the establishment without paying the entrance fee. The pub collector followed them inside which started a commotion.  It was later pacified by the pub manager. The men took a gun from their vehicle and fired indiscriminately inside the pub. Geoffrey Amistoso Saracho sustained a bullet wound in the chest and died on the spot. Gappal Naji Addang and a still unidentified customer were hit and brought to the Zamboanga City Medical Center. The suspects fled toward this city’s business district on board their vehicle. Police recovered nine empty shells and two slugs from a .45 caliber pistol. Investigation is ongoing.
