Senior citizen yields P2.8-M shabu in Lucena City drug sting

CAMP NAKAR, Lucena City, Quezon – Police seized suspected shabu valued at P2.8 million from a 63-year-old woman in a buy-bust operation n Barangay Ibabang Dupay, this city, before dawn on Sunday, July 16. Quezon police chief Police Col. Ledon Monte identified the suspect as Julieta Maruhom of Barangay Ibabang Dupay and listed as a high-value individual of the police here. Ledon reported to Police Regional Office 4-A chief Police Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces said that the suspect was arrested after he sold 139 grams of shabu valued at P2.8 million to a police poseur-buyer. The suspect was earlier placed under surveillance after police received reports on her illegal drug activities. Seized illegal drug will be turned over to the Quezon Provincial Forensic Unit here for examination and the suspect faces a criminal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
