NPA leader wanted for murder nabbed in Quirino

CAMP Marcelo Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – A New People’s Army leader wanted for murder was arrested in Barangay Villa Pascua, Diffun, Quirino on Saturday, July 15. Police identified the suspect as Ramon Luis, alias “Mon,” 66. Luis was nabbed based on a warrant of arrest for multiple murder issued by Executive Judge Bonifacio T. Ong of the Regional Trial Court Branch 24, 2nd Judicial Region, Echague, Isabela. The suspect was appointed secretary of the Sangay ng Pratido sa Platun-Gani, Central Front, Komiteng Rehiyon-Hilagang Silangang Luzon in 2002. He became a training officer in 2017 and appointed as agrarian revolution officer of Komiteng Probinsiya-Isabela, Komiteng Rehiyon Cagayan Valley from 2020 to 2022. Luis is undergoing custodial debriefing at the Diffun police station. Cagayan Valley police chief Police Brig. Gen. Percival Rumbaoa commended operating units for arresting Luis.
