Construction worker, cohort yield over P350k shabu in Makati drug bust op


Police seized more than P350,000 worth of illegal drugs from a construction worker and his male cohort during a buy-bust operation in Makati City on Saturday, July 15.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as "Tarik," 63, a construction worker; and "Ato," 22.

Operatives from the Makati City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and West Rembo Substation conducted the operation at around 12 a.m. at Barangay Cembo.

The suspects were arrested after the police's poseur buyer successfully bought P500 worth of suspected shabu from the two men.

Police confiscated 54 grams of alleged shabu worth P367,200, all contained within one knot-tied and seven heat-sealed sachets.

The suspects are detained at the Makati City Police Station, facing charges for illegal possession of drugs (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002).
