3 robbers collared in Makati City

Two men and a woman involved in a robbery incident in Barangay Poblacion in Makati City were arrested by police on Friday, July 14. The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as "Mark," 22; "Leander," 26; and "Mary Rose," 19. Initial investigation showed that the 26-year-old victim was walking along Zamora corner Mabini Streets in Brgy. Poblacion at around 2 a.m. when the incident occurred. The suspects onboard a tricycle allegedly approached the victim and snatched his cellphone, causing him to fall to the ground. The victim immediately reported the incident to nearby police officers who chased and arrested the suspects. Police recovered one white and gold cellphone worth P5,000 from the suspects. Other confiscated items were two improvised firearms (sumpak) with three live ammunition, and a red Honda 125 tricycle. The suspects are facing charges for robbery, and illegal possession of firearms in accordance with Republic Act No. 10591.
