Toyota launches the all-new Wigo

Bigger and with more tech


Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) unveiled their much-awaited all-new Wigo at the Trinoma Activity Center in Quezon City, where all the variants and available colors will be on display until Sunday July 16, 2023.
 
Exterior

The all-new Wigo’s exterior has a more aggressive and sporty look about it, now also bigger in height, width and length over the previous generation, giving customers of this latest generation more interior and cargo space. Its completely new front end echoes the design language of the rest of Toyota’s lineup. Its grille is flanked by split-type LED headlights and around back, you get halogen combination brake and signal lights and an LED high mount third brake light. It rolls on 175/65’s on 14-inch rims.

The all-new Wigo seats five, and the G variant now has adjustable headrests. There are fabric seats: six-way manually adjustable for the driver and four-way adjustable for the front passenger. Standard equipment is the analog gauge cluster with economy meter. The G and E variants get the eight-inch touchscreen entertainment system with AM/FM, USB, Voice Command, Bluetooth, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, four speakers for the G and two speakers for the E and J. The J gets a 1-DIN audio system.
 
Powerplant

It’s powered by a three-cylinder 1.0-liter 12-valve DOHC with VVT gasoline engine which puts out 67-Ps at 6000 rpm with max torque of 89-Nm at 4400 rpm mated to a new CVT for the E and G variants or a five-speed manual transmission for the J variant. 
 
Safety and convenience

The all-new Wigo has driver and front passenger SRS airbags, three-point seatbelts for all five occupants, ISOFIX Tethers, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC). The G variant is equipped with keyless entry, push start ignition, power adjust and power fold side mirrors, a reverse sonar and back up camera. The G also has a DVR up front or “dashcam” located in front of the rear view mirror. All variants have three cup holders and four bottle holders.

The Wigo has given many new car buyers their memorable first car experience. In fact, we have given thrill and joy to more than 149,000 Wigo owners since the model was introduced in the country in 2014,” said TMP President, Atsuhiro Okamoto.

The all-new Wigo variants are priced as follows:  Wigo G CVT, P729,000.00; Wigo E CVT, P684,000.00; and Wigo J, P609,000.00. They comes in these colors:  Red Mica Metallic 2, Orange Metallic 3, Yellow SE, Silver Metallic 4, Gray Metallic and White 2 colors.

The all-new Wigo’s retail sales starts on July 17, 2023 nationwide at all Toyota dealers nationwide.
