The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Bicol Regional Office has sent P574,437 worth of food and non-food items to Polangui, Albay in preparation for "Dodong".
This is based on the July 14, 6 p.m. report of its Disaster Response Operations and Monitoring Center.
These items will be distributed to families who will be affected by the tropical depression.

"Our Quick Response Teams and emergency equipment are now on standby and ready for deployment to assist local disaster responders in their operations," he said. "We also want to remind our Kababayans to stay vigilant and to follow the orders of your local chief executives to ensure that you will be safe from the effects of 'Dodong'," he added. Furthermore, DSWD is also coordinating with Taguig LGU to monitor the condition of 14 families who were evacuated due to inclement weather.
