DSWD-Bicol Region said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian directed the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) program to offer financial assistance to all affected families. The ECT helped 5,770 households in Ligao, Guinobatan, Daraga, Camalig, Santo Domingo, Malilipot, and Tabaco communities. DSWD Bicol Region Director Norman Laurio noted that the distribution of ECTs will be from July 14 to July 16. "Each Mayon-affected family will receive P12,330 as financial aid under the DSWD's ECT program," Director Laurio said. To discuss the distribution of ECT and guarantee the program's success, personnel from the DSWD Field Office V have already coordinated with the local chief executives as well as with the municipal and city Social Welfare and Development Officers (SWDOs) of the affected Local Government Units (LGUs). *(Rhowen Del Rosario)*
