Angat Dam's water level was slightly elevated due to Tropical Storm Dodong, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Saturday, July 15.

While "Dodong" is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on July 15, it helped the Angat Dam to elevate slightly along with the enhanced southwest monsoon or in local terms, "habagat." PAGASA reported a 46-centimeter increase in Angat since July 14 (from 178.02 meters to 178.48 m) in its bulletin issued this morning. However, it remained below 180 m, the minimum operating level for Angat.
Ipo and Magat dam also increased upon the arrival of "Dodong" where Ipo elevated by 88 cm (from 99.15 m to 100.03 m) and Magat --located in Isabela, where the tropical storm landed-- raised to 163.56 m from 162.63 on July 14. For other dam increases, Lamesa (26 cm), Binga (45 cm), San Roque (34 cm), and Pantabangan (59cm). Meanwhile, the water level in Caliraya and Ambuklao dropped by 11 centimeters and 79 centimeters, respectively. *(Sonny Daanoy)*
