ILOILO CITY – Police seized suspected shabu worth around P408,00 from two brothers in a buy-bust operation here recently.

Suspects were identified as 45-year-old Andrew “Tisoy” Solas and his 44-year-old brother Armando “Kano” Solas, residents of Barangay Fatima in Jaro District and believed to be major drug pushers in this city. The Solases were apprehended after they sold shabu to a police posuer-buyer on Thursday night, July 13. The anti-drug operation led by the Iloilo City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU) was backed by the drug enforcement team of the ICPO-Jaro Police Station and the Intelligence Group of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, Police Regional Office-6 chief, lauded the arrest of the suspects. “This is another major accomplishment and we will not stop in our anti-drug operation.”
