P306,000 shabu seized in Negros buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a suspected drug pusher and shabu worth P306,000 was seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay General Luna, Toboso, Negros Occidental on Thursday, July 13. Police identified the suspect as Ricky Tocaste, 33, of Barangay General Luna and a high-value individual. Also recovered from Tocaste was the P500 marked money, weighing scale, and drug paraphernalia. Police Major Jun Ray Batadlan, Toboso police chief, said the suspect was arrested in 2017 but was released through plea bargaining. Batadlan said the suspect allegedly did not stop peddling illegal drugs. His name recently came out, prompting police to monitor him. Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas chief, lauded the operating team for this huge accomplishment and urged them to continue running after drug personalities.
