Also in attendance were Cavite Police Provincial Office Director Col. Christopher F. Olazo, Bacoor City Police Station Chief Lt. Col. Jesson Bombasi, barangay officials, teachers, and students from Districts 1 and 2. City Ordinance No. 7 of 2002 sets a 10:00 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew for residents aged 17 and below. “Hindi naman po natin ikinukulong ang mga kabataan, sinasagip natin sila sa lansangan (We are not locking up the youth, we are rescuing them from the streets),” Revilla said during his speech streamed live through Facebook. The mayor mentioned that the LGU has already coordinated with all the fraternities in the city to unite for peace, order, and safety. The local government is also looking to set a limit on selling liquor in the city. “Nagpagawa po ako nang ordinansa sa atin pong city council na pagtungtong din nang 10:00 p.m., kasabay ng curfew, bawal na pong magbenta nang alak sa lahat ng convenience store sa buong Bacoor ((I asked the city council to make an ordinance so that by 10:00 p.m., simultaneous with the curfew, convenience stores in Bacoor will not be allowed to sell liquor)," Revilla said. "Pagiingat din dahil marami pong naaaksidente sa gabi at namamatay, karamihan, lasing (This is a safety precaution because many get involved in accidents at night, many die, and most of them are drunk).”
