'Dodong' maintains strength; Signal No. 1 still up in some Luzon areas
Tropical Depression Dodong maintained its strength as it moved north-northwestward over the northwestern Cagayan Area on Friday, July 14.Â

In its latest 11 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) spotted "Dodong" in the vicinity of Allacapan, Cagayan, moving north-northwestward at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour (kph). It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 75 kph.Â
PAGASA hoisted Signal No. 1 in Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and La Union. It also raised the same tropical cyclone wind signal (TCWS) in places under the northern portion of Pangasinan (San Nicolas, San Manuel, Sison, San Fabian, Pozorrubio, Bolinao, Bani, City of Alaminos, Sual, Labrador, Lingayen, Agno, Binmaley, Dagupan City, San Jacinto, Mangaldan, Anda).
PAGASA reminded residents in mentioned places to inspect houses for necessary fixing, check drainage systems and pre-harvest crops that can be yielded, and monitor PAGASA updates. *(Sonny Daanoy)*
