CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police arrested four suspected carnappers who allegedly stole a government vehicle in a hot-pursuit operation in Biñan City, this province, on Friday, July 14.
Police Regional Office 4-A director Police Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces identified the suspects as Alex Santa Ana, Andrews Joson, Gerry Amor Jr., and Edison Diaz.
Laguna police director Col. Harold Depositar said the Biñan police recovered the vehicle, a Toyota Innova with license plates SKL-721 registered to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
The vehicle was stolen at around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, at the Umbria Commercial Center in Barangay San Antonio, Biñan City.
An informant told police that he saw Joson taking the vehicle while it was parked at the covered parking area of the establishment.
Police conducted a hot-pursuit operation and the suspects were apprehended at about 12:45 a.m. on Friday.
