Mayor Along grants cash incentives to 35 exemplary graduates

A total of 35 elementary and high school students in Caloocan City who graduated with highest honors received P10,000 cash incentives from the local government.

Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan said the cash incentives were given as rewards to students with exemplary performance and to encourage other students to do their best in school.

This year, we have started awarding cash incentives to students who graduate with the highest marks. This is one of the ways to recognize their talent, hard work, and dedication in school) ,” Malapitan said.

It also aims to encourage other students to further improve their studies. This incentive is also a great help for our students for their expenses for the next school year),” he added.

According to the city government, the recipients of the cash incentives were from different public schools who completed elementary and secondary education this year.

Local Youth Development Office Officer-in-Charge Ms. Carissa Policarpio said they already coordinated with the Schools Division Office (SDO) in the city with regards to the list of students to be rewarded during graduation ceremonies.

She also thanked Malapitan for his support to the city’s programs for the development of the youth.

Malapitan encouraged the youth to perform their best in their studies and said more incentives would be given to them in the coming years.

I hope that more beneficiaries will be given incentives in the future, because this is a proof that our youth are trying to reach their dreams and aspire for a beautiful and bright future)," he said.
