BUTUAN CITY – A magnitude-4.4 earthquake jolted Davao Occidental on Thursday morning, July 13.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the earthquake was recorded at 4:50 a.m. and its epicenter was 348 kilometers southeast of Balut Island in the municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental.
The tremor had a depth of 148 kms, Phivolcs said.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks or damage is expected and the Davao Occidental Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported no damage or injury.
