First laser eye surgery service in Western Visayas opens in Iloilo City

ILOILO CITY – The first laser eye service center in the Western Visayas region opened in Iloilo City recently.
THE Borough Lasik Center (BLC) in Iloilo City is the first laser eye surgery center in the Western Visayas region.  (Tara Yap) Borough Lasik Center (BLC) opened its refractive surgery center at Festive Walk Iloilo, the mall of Megaworld’s Iloilo Business Park. “Iloilo is one of the fastest growing cities in Western Visayas. Being strategically located at the center of the region, we are seeing to give people from Panay and Negros Islands access to our services without going far just to have a Lasik surgery,” said Dr. Ches Heredia, BLC CEO and head ophthalmologist. Iloilo is BLC’s third branch in the country. The two others are in Pasay City and Davao City. BLC Iloilo headed by medical director Dr. Nathaniel Chan has top of the line technology for non-invasive eye correction. “At Borough we take pride in our doctors and world-class technology. All of our doctors are globally trained and are well-versed in the field of ophthalmology, with decades of experience in providing life-changing vision,” Heredia said. Among the BLC Iloilo’s services are myopia or nearsightedness, hyperopia or farsightedness, and astigmatism correction.
