QC cops recover P1.2-M ‘shabu’ left inside motel room

Members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) recovered on Tuesday, July 11, over P1.2 million worth of alleged shabu that was abandoned inside a room of a motel on Timog Avenue in Barangay South Triangle, Quezon City.

The QCPD said the discovery of the suspected illegal drugs was reported to them by the motel’s management through Quezon City’s emergency hotline, Helpline 122.

Initial investigation disclosed that a room attendant found 180 grams of "shabu" hidden in between a bed and its foam in a room in the motel at around 7:15 p.m.  She immediately reported her find to her supervisor who sought help from the police via the city’s helpline.

The QCPD-District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) responded to the area and recovered the illegal drugs worth P1,224,000.

The recovered evidence will be brought the DDEU’s chemical Section for chemical analysis.
