PRO-13 deploys 527 cops to help complete 164 barangay dev't projects
CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 has deployed 527 personnel for the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay (R-PSB) to ensure completion of 164 Barangay Development Projects (BDPs) in the Caraga region.

Crismundo) BDPs, the hallmark program of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), are socio-economic development projects like the provision of farm-to-market roads, health centers, electrification, water and sanitation facilities, schools, and livelihood projects, PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II said. Labra also said that former conflict-ridden communities are rehabilitated and developed under BDPs. He said that aside from ensuring peace and order, they also initiated projects and activities which greatly benefited recipient communities. "We ensure the safe and successful completion of BDPs through the deployment of our PNP personnel on the ground. Most of all, we are maximizing our efforts and mobilizing our resources to keep villages free from the threats of communist terrorists,” Labra said. “R-PSB aims to sustain the substantial gains of the Armed Forces of the Philippines through its community support program,” he added. The PRO-13 Regional Operations Division (ROD) said 73 police officers from the Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office (PPO), 93 from Agusan del Sur PPO, 68 from Surigao del Norte PPO, 73 from Surigao del Sur PPO, 76 from Butuan City Police Office (BCPO), 54 from Dinagat Islands PPO, and 90 from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion-13 have provided support to the ongoing BDPs.
