BAGUIO CITY - Suspected shabu worth P374,000 was confiscated from two drug pushers from Tarlac in a buy-bust operation in Burnham Park here on Tuesday, July 11.
Suspects were identified as high-value drug personalities Rasmia Balang Ebra, 29, and Adonis de Guzman Abad, 35.
Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., Police Regional Office-Cordillera director, said the suspects were arrested by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU), Regional Intelligence Division (RID), Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) after they sold one knot-tied plastic cellophane containing 10 plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 50 grams and a standard drug price of P340,000 to a police poseur-buyer.
Suspects yielded another heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu with an estimated weight of more or less five grams and an SDP of P34,000.
Inventory of pieces of evidence were conducted on-site in the presence of the suspects and witnessed by Barangay Kagawad Cristine Valente of Barangay Burnham-Legarda here and a media representative.
Suspects and evidence were brought to the CDEU for documentation while charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against them.
