In-person oathtaking of new CPAs set

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), on Tuesday, July 11, announced the date and venue of the in-person mass oathtaking of new certified public accountants (CPAs).

On July 14, Baguio City is set to host the face-to-face oathtaking of new CPAs. PRC noted that interested inductees must register at their official website before noon prior to the day of the ceremony. Meanwhile, since the mass oath will take place in person, participants must bring either a vaccination card, negative results from a reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test, or an antigen Covid-19 test performed 48 hours before the ceremony. At the same time, attendees are asked to bring their oath forms with the generated quick response (QR) code to be submitted during the event to confirm attendance. However, those unable to attend may request a special appointment or join the online ceremony, which will be announced once the schedule has been confirmed. Moreover, PRC encouraged licensure passers to confirm their attendance in the regions where they took their examination. Lastly, CPAs may proceed with their initial registration by securing an online appointment at the official website of the PRC right after the ceremony. (Sonny Daanoy)
