Hundreds benefit from Serbisyo Caravan in Baggao, Cagayan


CAMP MELCHOR F. DELA CRUZ, Upi, Gamu, Isabela – The Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict in Baggao, Cagayan held a Serbisyo Caravan with the assistance of the Philippine Army on Tuesday, July 11.

Hundreds of residents from Barangay Canagatan benefitted from basic social services provided by the MTF-ELCAC, LGU Baggao, 77th Infantry Battalion together with the Bravo Company of the 5th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, Camp Melchor F. dela Cruz Station Hospital, 1365th Dental Detachment, and the Philippine National Police.

Eighty-five residents availed of medical and dental (28) consultation, circumcision (18), and haircut (15).

One-hundred thirteen children benefitted from feeding activities.

One-hundred nine families received five kilos of rice each while 154 farmers were given vegetable seeds and 25 individuals were provided hygiene kits.

The Army distributed leaflets regarding the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program and conducted loudspeaker operations.

Beneficiaries thanked the MTF-ELCAC, LGU Baggao, and Army and PNP for bringing basic social services to their community.

Prior to the caravan, the MTF-ELCAC visited insurgency-cleared barangays in Baggao and brought not only basic services but also some projects which addressed the issues and concerns of residents.
