Guanzon tells followers how to deal with 'patay-gutom' trolls, bashers

Online trolls and bashers are already practicing their craft in time for the 2025 midterm elections. Thus, said P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon, who took to Twitter Tuesday, July 10 to advise her followers on how to deal with these nuisances on the web. "Pag may bashers at trolls , block nyo at report agad. Nag pa practice ang mga yan for 2025 (If you encounter bashers and trolls, block them and report immediately. Those people are practicing for 2025)," Guanzon said. The proud kakampink and self-described "Queen of Bardagulan" further described Internet trolls as "mga patay gutom" or people who are so poor, they starve to death. The battle for hearts and minds during election season is played for the most part in the online space; this gives trolls, bashers, and social media personalities the power to influence other people. Guanzon is a former Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner.
