Bucarey said that they plan to deepen and strengthen the relations of Chile with the Philippines),” she wrote.
During their meeting, Duterte said she extended to the foreign envoy her congratulatory message for his designation to the Philippines.
The Vice President also said her office is looking forward to working with Ambassador Bucarey on Chile’s programs.
I conveyed to him our office is ready to help in order to strengthen our country’s relations with Chile),” she added.
The Philippines and Chile have a shared history of having been a colony of Spain, and in recent years have worked together to deepen relations in education, disaster risk reduction, trade and investment, among others.
