ILOILO CITY – This year’s State Universities and Colleges Fair is underway here with 82 SUCs participating.
“For this year’s fair, SUCs can prove their brilliance by showcasing their extraordinary innovations and significant contributions,” said CHED Chairman Prospero “Popoy” de Vera III.
With the theme “Navigating the Global Landscape Through Innovations, Cultural, and Arts Preservation and Higher Education Quality,” De Vera said that SUC Fair 2023 will also showcase how far higher education has come despite the challenges posed by pandemic.
This year’s host is West Visayas State University (WVSU) led by its president Dr. Joselito Villaruz.
“We’ve always proved ourselves to be an excellent educational institution in the region. We can place the university in the Philippine map,” said Villaruz.
First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, an WVSU law professor, attended the opening of the SUC Fair’s Innovation Exhibit and Demo at SM City Iloilo.
The SUC Fair ends on Friday, July 14.
