* Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan on Monday, July 10, urged the senior citizens to avail of the bivalent vaccine. The initial rollout of the bivalent vaccines covered A1 or healthcare workers from the six hospitals in the city last June 27. Lacuna-Pangan announced that starting July 10, the Manila Health Department (MHD) will start vaccinating senior citizens with Pfizer Covid-19 bivalent shots in the 44 health centers in Manila. She also said that the bivalent shot can only be injected to individuals who have completed their first and second boosters. The local chief executive explained that the bivalent dose is considered a third booster dose to the eligible public. Meanwhile, the city government will maintain its "open policy," where residents outside the city can also avail of their vaccines as long as they belong to the qualified groups.
