Despite disbarment, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is confident that Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation Larry Gadon will contribute to address poverty in the country.

Gadon took his oath of office before Marcos in Malacañang on Monday, July 10. Despite Gadon's disbarment, Marcos is confident that his experience and capabilities will be able to contribute to the administration's effort to end poverty in the country. "Tiwala tayo na ang kanyang karanasan at kakayahan ay makatutulong sa pagtukoy sa mga pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan (We trust that his experience and capabilities will help in determining the needs of our countrymen)," Marcos said on Tuesday. The President stressed that Gadon's appointment is among the steps his administration is taking in order to address poverty. "Tuloy-tuloy ang ating mga hakbang upang tuldukan ang kahirapan sa bansa. Bahagi nito ang pagtalaga natin kay G. Larry Gadon bilang Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation (Our efforts to end poverty in the country continue. Part of this is the appointment of Mr. Larry Gadon as Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation)," Marcos said.
