House Deputy Speaker and Cebu 5th district Rep. Vincent Franco "Duke" Frasco's Facebook post on Tuesday, July 11 shows just how supportive a husband he is Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Frasco. "Congratulations, Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco! As always, i’m proud of you and all the work you have done thus far for the DOT and the PH tourism industry! Kumbati! ❤️🇵🇭" the congressman wrote in a sweet message to the better half of #TeamFrasco. Rep. Frasco was referring to inauguration and turnover of the first completed Tourist Rest Area (TRA) in the Philippines by the DOT and the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA). The facility is located in Mediellin town, Cebu. "Congratulations to the Department of Tourism - Philippines and TIEZA," Rep. Frasco said, adding that the TRA comes with an information desk, pasalubong center, charging stations, and clean restrooms for the convenience of our tourists. The past couple of weeks have been challenging for Secretary Frasco, to say the least. This is due to the problems arising from the just-launched "Love the Philippines" campaign, which is the rebranded Philippine tourism campaign under the Marcos administration. It grabbed headlines when the promotional video under Love the Philippines was found to contain stock footages from tourists sites located in other countries. For this embarrassment, the DOT promptly sacked the contractor, DDB Philippines. The Frasco couple have four children.
