The PCO said this after the Phivolcs reported that 33 pyroclastic density currents (PDCs) were generated by dome collapse from the volcano's summit on Sunday afternoon.

"Tumaas pa ang posibilidad ng pagsabog ng Bulkang Mayon (The posibility of Mayon Volcano erupting has increased)," the PCO wrote on a Facebook post on July 10.

"Nananatili itong nakapailalim sa Alert Level 3 habang kasalukuyang nagpapakita ng higit pang aktibidad (It remains under Alert Level 3 while it currently shows increased activities)," it added.

Citing the Phivolcs report, the PCO said those within the volcano's six-kilometer radius should remain in evacuation centers. At the same time, it advised those within the next two kilometers to prepare in case the current PDC activity worsens.

It also reminded pilots to avoid flying close to the volcano's summit as ash from eruptions may be hazardous.

Meanwhile, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) reported that as of the evening of July 9, P105,632,444.84 worth of humanitarian assistance was provided by the DSWD, local government units (LGUs), nongovernment organizations (NGOs), and other partners to those affected by the volcanic activity.
