Over P380K shabu seized, 5 arrested in Marikina drug bust ops
Three male and two female suspects yielded a total of P387,600 in separate buy-bust operations in Marikina City on July 7 and 8.
Eastern Police District (EPD) Director Wilson Asueta identified the suspects as “Pampam,” 27; “Chitong,” 27; “RJ,” 24; “Gara,” 44; and “Norhana,” 25.
Pampam, Chitong, and RJ were nabbed by the police at Provident Village in Barangay Tañong at around 10 p.m. on July 7.
Five plastic sachets containing 17 grams of suspected shabu worth P115,600 were confiscated from the three male suspects. A P500 bill used as buy-bust money and Honda Click motorcycle were also seized.
Meanwhile, Gara and Norhana were arrested at Golden Valley, Barangay Malanday at around 10:30 p.m. on July 8.
Police seized 40 grams of alleged shabu worth P272,000 placed in six plastic sachets from the suspects.
Members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Marikina City police conducted surveillance activities on the suspects prior to the buy-busts.
The suspects were referred to the EPD Forensic Unit for a drug test and were turned over to the Marikina City Police custodial facility where they are currently detained.
They are facing charges for sale and possession of illegal drugs which are violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
