SAN JOSE, Batangas – A foreign kidnap victim turned up in Barangay Aguilar here on Sunday, July 9.
Police said the victim arrived in a gasoline station convenience store and talked to an employee in the Chinese language.
The employee sought the help of the barangay. Barangay Councilor Nancy Aguila accompanied the Chinese victim to the police.
Police said the victim was allegedly kidnapped by several Chinese men on July 6 and was dropped somewhere in the boundaries of Batangas City and this town.
Lawmen coordinated with the Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) in Camp Crame in Quezon City. The AKG said the victim was reported missing based on an email sent by the Chinese Embassy on July 8.
The victim is 28 and a resident of Coast Residences in Pasay City, police said.
Police here are in the process of turning over the victim to the AKG.
