Cordillera cops net 25 wanted persons


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police arrested 25 wanted persons in manhunt operations in the Cordillera from July 2 to 8.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) said the Baguio City Police Office arrested 14, followed by the Kalinga Provincial Police Office (PPO) with six; Ifugao PPO with three, and Abra and Benguet with one each.

Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., PRO-Cordillera director, said as a result of intensified police presence, 66 municipalities in
the different provinces of the region and four police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during the week.

Zero crime incidents were recorded in 24 out of 27 municipalities in Abra, six out of six in Apayao, 12 out of 13 in Benguet, five out of seven in Kalinga, nine out of 11 in Ifugao, and all 10 municipalities in Mountain Province.

Out of the 10 police stations here, the BCPO Stations 1, 2, 4, and 6 recorded zero crime.
