Cops net P102,000 shabu in Butuan buy-bust

CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – A suspected drug pusher was arrested and shabu valued at P102,000 was seized in a buy-bust operation on Saturday, July 8, in Barangay Ampayon, this city.

The 41-year-old suspect whose name was temporarily withheld pending the arrest of his other contacts was collared by the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Regional Intelligence Division 13 together with the Butuan City Police Office-Station 4 and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-13.

Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II said the suspect, considered a high-value individual, yielded 15 grams of suspected shabu, P25,000 cash, and drug paraphernalia.

“He is the fourth HVI hauled to jail by the police, including 10 street-level individuals last week,” Labra said.

“This success highlights the zeal of PRO-13 personnel in putting an end to illegal drugs in the region,” Labra added.

Police had monitored the suspect for selling illegal drugs in Agusan del Sur and Butuan City. Lawmen are still mapping out the arrest of other suspects.
