BennyQt, Karltzy to skip ECHO's campaign in Snapdragon Challenge Finals
Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno and Benedict “BennyQt” Gonzales decided to skip ECHO’s campaign in the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 3 - Challenge Finals set to fire off on July 17.
The two Orca stars are taking a well-deserved break following the team’s championship run in the MPL Philippines Season 11 and a third place finish in the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup last month. Taking their place in the roster are Justin “Zaida” Palma on the jungle and Jhonville “Outplayed” Villar who will be joining the other members of M4 Championship winning crew in Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya and Alston “Sanji” Pabico. The break for the two ECHO pillars however won’t really take long as they are primed to return to the lineup when the MPL champions also take part in the World Cyber Games in South Korea. Aside from ECHO which got a direct invite to the Challenge Finals, other Filipino teams joining the tiff are Bren Esports and RSG Philippines who both topped their respective pools in the Challenger group stage to qualify to the finale in Jakarta, Indonesia. Bren Esports, as usual, will be bannered by its Southeast Asian Games gold medal-winning crew of Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo, Michael “Kyletzy” Sayson, David “Flaptzy” Canon and Marco “Super Marco” Requitano. Meanwhile for RSG PH, returning from a one-season break is Arvie “Aqua” Calderon who will join hands anew with Dylan “Light” Catipon, Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo and John “Irrad” Tuazon. Also in the lineup albeit serving as the sixth man is another returning player in Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto.
